The Business and Enterprise Teachers’ Association SA Inc (BETA SA) is committed to safeguarding your privacy under the Australian privacy laws. This privacy statement has been created by BETA SA in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy. BETA SA does not collect personally identifiable information about individuals except when such individuals specifically provide such information on a voluntary basis. MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
BETA SA collects and stores information about its members for the following purpose:
- To manage their membership of BETA SA and the services that we provide to those members

In order to serve the purpose of the Association and to improve the services we provide, BETA SA may use the information collected for internal evaluation and research purposes. All collected information will be protected against loss and unauthorised use or disclosure. BETA SA may use collated information, where personally identifiable information is not included, in order to provide membership demographic information to third parties.
MEMBER LOG IN
When you log in to our website as a member, BETA SA will capture all of the data within the login form which is saved into our database. No credit card or other payment information is stored within the system.
BETA SA WEBSITE
Whenever you visit our website, our web host or internet service provider may record general information for evaluation and review. As with most websites, this information is likely to include:
- Your internet (IP) address
- When you visited our website
- The pages you visited and any information and documentation you downloaded
- The website you were looking at immediately preceding your visit to our site

BETA SA members will always be able to request and access the information BETA SA holds about them. Additionally, upon request, we will use reasonable efforts to allow users to update/correct personal information previously submitted which the user states is erroneous, to the extent such activities will not compromise privacy or security interests. Also, upon a user’s request, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to functionally delete the user and his or her personal information from our database; however, it may be impossible to delete a user’s entry without some residual information because of backups and records of deletions.
E-MAIL USE AND MAILING LISTS
BETA SA will only record your e-mail address if you are a current or past member, or if you request to join our general mailing list, or if you send us a message and we need to reply to your query. We will add your e-mail address to our member mailing list, or our general mailing list, because you have expressed interest in the activities and purpose of our Association; however, you may request to be removed from that list. Your e-mail address will not be disclosed to third parties without your express permission and will be stored securely.
SECURITY
All data collected by BETA SA is only accessed by the Board of Management and shared for operational purposes by volunteer Board members with direct responsibility for customer service or management of the website, payments and membership. BETA SA takes all reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse or loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
We will not store within our databases credit card or other payment information.
